Because there were only 775 girls per 1000 boys in the state of Haryana. Due to which the sex ratio there was disturbed. The scheme was initially implemented in 100 districts across the country, where the sex ratio was effectively the worst. And there are plans to implement it across the country in the coming years.

  • To ensure the survival and security of the village by ending the process of gender discrimination.
  • Ensuring education of girls in every household.
  • Prevention of gender-based feticide.
  • Ensuring education and participation of girls.

Why was the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign Needed?

Our India is our mythological culture, it is considered a country of religion and deeds and affection and love. But since Indians have not started making progress and new technologies have evolved, there has been a big change in the mindset of the Indian people. This change has resulted in a huge upheaval in terms of population.
The mentality of the people has deteriorated so much that they have started discriminating between sons and daughters.

They have started treating daughters as an object. Such people celebrate a lot on the birth of a son and distribute sweets throughout the village, if a daughter is born then the whole house is in silence like if any disaster or disaster has occurred. He considers the daughter as alien money because one day daughters have to get married and go to another house.

That is why people with fallen mentality think that spending on daughters of any kind is a waste. This is the reason why they do not teach daughters nor do they raise them properly.

They do not have the freedom to do any work of their own free will. In some places, daughters are not even allowed to move out of the house.

In contrast, sons are much loved and sent abroad for their education. All types of discounts are given to sons. Such people believe that sons will become sticks of our old age and serve us, but nowadays everything is happening to the contrary.

The Sex Ratio of Children (CSR), which is determined by the number of girls per 1000 boys between 0 and 6 years of age. The first census after India's independence was done in 1951, which found that there are only 945 girls per 1000 boys, but after independence, the situation became worse, whose figures are as follows –

Year
Sex ratio per 1000 boys per
1991
945
2001
 927
2011
 918

Having such a small population of girls is not less than a disaster. This reflects prenatal discrimination by gender selection of the child and prenatal discrimination towards girls.
Due to this mentality increasing day by day, the population of daughters is starting to decrease because the daughters are being killed in the womb itself. According to a UNICEF report, there is a shortage of about 5 crore girls in India.

Taking cognizance of this, the United Nations warned India that if soon nothing was done to protect girls, there could be many other disasters along with changes in population in India. Therefore, the Honorable Prime Minister of our country, Narendra Modi, started a new scheme for the protection of daughters and education of daughters, called Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

Due to the Plight of Daughters

Ever since new technologies have developed in India, ever since people started living to fulfill their selfishness, the condition of daughters has become very pathetic in our country. No one else is responsible for his condition.

Because only people like us have started discriminating between sons and daughters. Due to which daughters have started getting SS in the country and their population has also declined significantly. In many states, the situation has become so bad that the youth there are not even getting married.

Let us know what are the reasons due to which the condition of daughters of our country has become very pathetic today.

1. Langig discrimination

Langig discrimination means that people no longer want the birth of daughters. They only want sons born in their homes. But those people do not know that if the girls are not born, where will the daughter-in-law bring her, where will the sister bring her and mother will bring her.

2. Female feticide

Due to increasing gender discrimination, the mentality of people has become so bad that they kill daughters in the womb itself. His desire for a son has grown so much that he kills his own daughter before coming into the world.

Due to which there has been a huge decline in the population of girls and a new disaster has emerged. On which neither people are taking any action nor the government is doing anything on it. Due to which girls are being exploited every day.

3. Lack of education

Due to lack of education, people still consider daughters very much, due to which in countries like India where mothers are worshiped. Daughters are exploited in the same country.

Due to the lack of education of the parents of the daughters, they get heard and start discriminating against the daughters. They do not know that even if daughters are given the right opportunity, they can show more tax than sons.

4. Corrupt mentality

The mentality of people in India can be traced back to the fact that they have started treating daughters as an object that they can use and throw away. People consider daughters as alien money and consider them as an expense, due to which the situation of girls in the country has become worrisome.

People with corrupt mindset believe that sons are everything, they will become sticks of their old age and serve them. That is why they do not even want the daughters to be killed at home. So people should try to change their mindset.

5. Dowry system

Dowry is a very serious problem in our country due to which the situation of daughters has become worrying. Due to this practice people no longer want daughters to be born in their family, because when daughters get married, they have to give a lot of dowry.

Because of which people are considering daughters as a huge expense and discriminating between sons and daughters. Currently, daughters are killed at home, so that people do not have to give dowry on their marriage, so it is very important to end this practice.

Side Effects of Daughters' Plight

It is well known to all of us that the excess or lack of anything causes a rough disaster. Because at the present time, there is a lot of discrimination between sons and daughters. Due to which the number of girls has decreased and their education initiation has also seen a significant decrease. We are seeing its side effects today.

1. Population growth

Those who want a boy will continue to have children until a boy is born in their home, due to which the population will expand in large numbers. This will slow down the pace of development of our country, due to which people will not get proper employment and proper food.

Similarly, our country is very backward and if the population growth continues at the same rate then our country will never be able to develop. Therefore, people should discuss it and take some concrete steps against it.

2. Reduction in the birth rate of girls

And if people continue to discriminate against girls in the same way, the birth rate of girls can decline drastically, while in many states of India, the population of girls is currently very low, according to a figure from 0 to 6 in 1981. till. This year, the sex ratio of the girls was reduced from 962 to 945 and in the year 2001 the number was reduced to 927. By 2011, the situation had deteriorated as the number of girls out of 1000 boys was only 914, which has become a serious problem.

3. Increasing incidence of rape and exploitation

Due to the decrease in the population of girls, you must have once seen in the news that incidents like rape are increasing very fast in our country. One reason for this is that the birth rate of girls has decreased. Due to male dominated society, where the population of girls is less, men show their dominance and exploitation of girls does not stop them.

4. Slow development of the country
If girls are discriminated against, the pace of development of the country will slow down because even today half the population of our country is women, if they do not get proper education and security, then the pace of development of our country will slow down On your own. And it is said that the first teacher is the mother, if she is not educated, how will she teach her children. Therefore it is very important to teach daughters.

Measures to Improve the Plight of Girls

You and we are also responsible for the plight of girls deteriorating in the country because whenever girls are discriminated against or exploited, we just keep watching and do not even oppose them.

Because of which we are seeing this situation today. If there is any kind of discrimination against girls and if we see this happening then we are equally responsible for discrimination, so we should raise our voice against the whole policy against girls.

Otherwise one day it will come that girls will not live in our country. The government also comes up with new schemes for the upliftment of girls such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana, Women Empowerment Scheme, but due to lack of interest of common man, all these schemes are put on hold.

Let us see what measures we can take to improve the plight of girls -

1. Stopping gender check

Currently, due to the development of new technologies, it is revealed that the baby in the womb will be a boy or a girl, people take advantage of it and find out beforehand whether they will produce a boy or a girl if they know that if they were born If they are going to be, then the girl is killed in the womb itself, due to which the sex ratio of girls is continuously decreasing.

Gender testing machines are easily available in India, we should stop these machines immediately. Although the Indian government has brought a strict law on this, due to some greedy doctors, gender testing is still done and girls are murdered in the womb.

2. Promoting female education

We should promote women education, if there are educated women in the society, it will never allow the daughters who kill the daughters who are born in their womb. The main reason for her murder is that women do not know anything about education and by implicating them in old stereotypes, their families are murdered in the womb of their own daughter. Therefore, the more female education gets promoted, the greater the sex ratio of girls.

3. Stop discrimination against girls

In our 21st century India, where women like Kalpana Chawla are going into space, on the other hand, people of our society are discriminating against girls. Girls are discriminated against on the basis of gender selection and even if they are born, they are not given proper education.

They are not properly raised, due to this discrimination policy, girls are not able to develop properly and remain backward due to which they are unable to walk shoulder to shoulder with boys. However, at present, there has been some change in the status of girls in cities. But there has not been much change, where girls are not being discriminated against.

4. Changing the mentality of people

In our 21st century India, another people claim to be civilized and on the other hand they exploit women, molest them and commit incidents like rape. These people are none other than us. There are some of us whose mindset has become so bad that they consider women as an object of pleasure.

Such people should be thrown out of society, these people are very dangerous not only for the society but for the whole world. Therefore, it has become very important to change the mindset of the thinking people, because the number of such people is increasing day by day, the results of which you see in newspapers and news every day.

5. Formation of strict laws for the protection of girls.

The Government of India should enact strict laws to protect girls so that no one dares to exploit and discriminate against girls. Although the government has enacted some laws that protect women, but due to some shortcomings in these laws, people take advantage of this and carry out incidents like rape.

Recently, the government has introduced a new law which can be appreciated in which those who rape girls up to 12 years will be punished. No one would dare to abuse girls if such strict laws continue to be made.

Thank You !
