Use of Is Am Are 

Hello Friends,

Today, we will learn about the use of "Is, Am, Are". "Is, Am, Are" is used for present tense like:-
आज, हम "Is, Am, Are" के use के बारे में जानेंगे। "Is Am Are " वर्तमान काल के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है जैसे: -

     Example:-

• Ram is a good boy.
• राम एक अच्छा लड़का है।
• You are a great king.
• आप एक महान राजा हैं।
• I am Chander. 
• मैं चंदर हूँ।

The sentences given above are present tense sentences because is, am are) is used in these sentences.

ऊपर दिए गए वाक्य वर्तमान काल के वाक्य हैं (क्योंकि Is Am Are) का उपयोग इन वाक्यों में किया गया है। 

Hindi meaning of - ( है, हूँ, हो/हैं )

Is Am Are का हिंदी अर्थ होता है - ( है, हूँ, हो/हैं )      

(Is, Am, Are) is used according to the subject, "is" is used if the subject is singular, and "are" is used if the subject is plural. If the subject is "I" then "am" is used.
Is, Am, Are  का उपयोग कर्ता (Subject) के अनुसार किया जाता है, यदि Subject एकवचन  है तो "is" का उपयोग किया जाता है यदि  Subject बहुवचन है तो "are" का उपयोग किया जाता है। यदि  Subject "I" है तो "am" का उपयोग किया जाता है। 

Note- He, She, This, That, It or the name of a person, object, place and animal is singular and These, Those, You, We, They are plural Subject.

Note- He, She, This, That, It या किसी व्यक्ति, वास्तु, स्थान और जानवर का नाम एकवचन होता है और These, Those, You, We, They बहुवचन Subject होते हैं !

     Example:-

• He is teacher. 
• वह शिक्षक है।
• This is computer.
• यह कंप्यूटर है।
• She is doctor.
• वह डॉक्टर है।

"He, This, She" are singular Subjects, hence "is" is used in the above sentences.

"He, This, She" एकवचन  Subjects हैं इसलिए  ऊपर  दिए गए वाक्यों में "is" का प्रयोग  हुआ है !

 

     Example:-

• These are bags. 
• ये बैग हैं।
• We are farmers.
• हम किसान हैं।
• They are intelligent people.
• वे बुद्धिमान लोग हैं।

These, We, They" are plural Subjects, hence "are" is used in the above sentences.

These, We, They" बहुवचन Subjects हैं इसलिए ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में "are" का प्रयोग हुआ है !

     Example:-

• I am an engineer. 
• मैं एक इंजीनियर हूँ।
• I am a rich man.
• मैं एक अमीर आदमी हूँ। 

Note- "am" is used with "I".

Note- "I" के साथ "am" का use किया जाता है!

Rules of Is Am Are

Friends, there are six rules to translate sentences into English which are based on six types of sentences.

Friends, वाक्यों को English में  translate करने के छह नियम हैं जो छह प्रकार के वाक्यों पर आधारित हैं!

1).Rules of Simple Sentences

           

      Examples:-

• में एक अच्छी नर्स हूँ !
• I am a good nurse.
• राजू एक ईमानदार व्यक्ति है।
• Raju is an honest person.
• सीमा बीमार है।
• Seema is ill.
• मैं और आप दोस्त हैं।
• I and you are friends.
• हम आपके भाई हैं।
• We are your brothers.
• मैं शहर से बाहर  हूँ।
• I am out of the city.

2).Rules of Negative Sentences

      Examples:-

• आप बुद्धिमान नहीं हैं।
• You are not intelligent.
• हम कार्यालय में नहीं हैं।
• We are not at the office.
• मैं स्वार्थी नहीं हूँ।
• I am not selfish.
• वे मेरे शुभचिंतक नहीं हैं।
• They are not my well-wisher.
• वह तुम्हारी दुश्मन नहीं है !
• She is not your enemy.
• मैं आज खुश नहीं हूँ।
• I am not happy today.

3).Rules of Interrogative Sentences

      Examples:-

• क्या तुम पागल हो?
• Are you crazy?
• क्या वह कक्षा में है?
• Is he in the class?
• क्या मैं गरीब हूं?
• Am I poor?
• क्या आपके दोस्त शिक्षित हैं?
• Are your friends educated?
• क्या यह मेरे लिए है?
• Is this for me?
• क्या वह भारत में है?
• Is she in India?

4).Rules of Interrogative + Negative Sentences

        

      Examples:-

• क्या तुम क्लास में नहीं हो?
• Are you not in the class?
• क्या गाय एक पवित्र जानवर नहीं है?
• Is cow not a sacred animal?
• क्या मैं अमीर नहीं हूं?
• Am I not rich?
• क्या वे भिखारी नहीं हैं?
• Are they not beggars?
• क्या यह मेरे लिए नहीं है?
• Is this not for me?
• क्या वह घर पर नहीं है?
• Is she not in India?

5).Rules of Wh-family + Interrogative Sentences

       Examples:-

• यह क्या है?
• What is this?
• वह स्कूल में कहां है?
• Where is she in school?
• मैं कौन हूँ?
• Who am I?
• आप कैसे हैं?
• How are you?
• तुम्हारा जन्मदिन कब है?
• When is your birthday?
• यह बेग किसका हे?
• Whose bag is this?

6).Rules of Wh-family + Interrogative + Negative Sentences  

      Examples:-

• तुम क्लास में क्यों नहीं हो?
• Why are you not in the class ?
• वह विनम्र क्यों नहीं है?
• Why is she not polite ?
• यह कैसे संभव नहीं है?
• How is this not possible?
