What is Punctuation?
A punctuation is a sign that is used in writing to divide writing into phrases and sentences.Punctuation is very important in English, because when we are in English or in Hindi, we stop somewhere in any sentence or through your words, you make someone realize the hidden meanings of your sentences, right there. . We use some punctuation. Let us know some such important punctuation.

Use of an exclamation symbol When we have to express our feelings in a sentence, we use an exclamation symbol there. 1). Full Stop (.)
When we end a sentence, we use the full stop there, whether it is a negative sentence or a questionable sentence, it does not matter. Use the full stop immediately after the end of one sentence and before the beginning of another sentence.Examples:

2). Question Mark (?)
Question mark? We use this to ask questions in a sentence.Examples:

4). Apostrophe (‘)

5). Quotation Marks (” “)
The use of quotation marks is what we usually use when we want to express something special in something. It is used before the beginning of a particular thing and after the end of a particular thing.Examples:

6). Hyphen (-)
The hyphen (-) is a punctuation mark with three main uses.Many people confuse this punctuation with a dash, but the two are quite different. Hyphens can be used in compound words, to associate words with prefixes, and also as a way to show word breaks.Use a hyphen to add two or more words together in a compound word. Do not separate words with spaces.Examples:

7). Dash (en dash (–) em dash (—)
Dashes are used to separate words into statements.There are two types of dashes, en dash, and em dash. The en dash the dash range or connection. 8). Comma (,)
A comma (,) is used to show the difference between two different ideas or elements within a sentence. There are other users of Commas as well, as they can be used to separate numbers, and to write dates.Examples:

- As the day ended, the fire personnel took out the last spark.

9). Colon (:)
A colon (:) is a fairly common punctuation mark with a variety of uses. It can be used to introduce a citation, an example, a series, or even an explanation. Secondly, it can be used to separate two independent segments. At last, a colon can be used to show emphasis.Examples:

A semicolon (;) is used to separate the two independent clauses, while demonstrating that a close relationship exists between them. A semicolon does a better job of showing the relationship between two statements than a full stop.Examples:

11). Parentheses ()
Brackets () are quotation marks that show additional ideas about a statement. In many scenarios, they can be replaced by a comma without any change in the meaning of the sentence.We often use parentheses to set less important details.Examples:

The brackets are separated by quotations ([]), which are used to show information of technical nature. Even if this information is omitted altogether, the sentence is understandable.Example:

13). Ellipsis (…)
An ellipse is usually represented by three dots (…), although it can also be represented by three asterisks (***). This punctuation is used to indicate that some letters or words have deviated. In many cases, ellipses are used to shorten the statement to avoid unnecessary or irrelevant words, which has no effect on the meaning of the statement.We often use ellipses to show that parts of sentences are omitted.
